For the past sports blog updates in this site, we have been detailing the reasons why Mayweather couldn’t fight Pacquiao on the highlighted date due to his case on domestic violence. No wonder various lists of boxers have been listed as potential candidates for Pacquiao this May instead of Mayweather.

After a short while, the American boxer tweeted our Pacman to challenge him once again because his case will be moved from its scheduled hearing. He can then already get to have a match with Pacquiao as the expected date—May 5th this year. The people then became more excited since majority is really anticipating more on Pacquiao and Mayweather fight compared to other projected challengers of our Philippine boxer.

But there has been another recent post that Pacman’s camp will not tolerate such challenge on social media sites and decided to disagree for the May 2012 challenge. So, ano ba talaga? Will Manny Pacquiao really accept challenge from Mayweather and fight him once and for all—or not?

Well, the latest post of BBC detailed that Pacquiao confirms to accept Floyd Mayweather’s challenge to fight him—in the boxing ring.

Even if Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum seem to have “alibis” in hindering the said May 2012 fight due to various reasons and considerations, our Pacman wanted “give the world what they want to see”. For his personal side, he really is interested in fighting Mayweather for good. It’s just that Mayweather is concerned about “a guaranteed purse”.

“So what he has to do is get a promoter who can give him the guarantee,” Pacquiao said. “”I don’t have problems getting a guarantee because I have a promoter who will give me my guaranteed purse. If he gets a guarantee, then we are going to share the revenue on a 50-50 basis.”

Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum added: “There is no problem on our part – the problem is on Mayweather’s. Mayweather needs somebody on his side that’s going to guarantee his purse. Mayweather has nobody on his side and GBP (Oscar de la Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions) is not going to guarantee his purse,” as quoted from the source.

So to answer our question, Pacquiao will indeed fight Mayweather, and the date is going to be on May this year. For those who are really anticipating for this game, this is a fight that is really worth watching. I personally am even expecting that the fight will rake millions of finances for the pay per view.

This is really going to be the fight of a lifetime. With both parties so eager to fight, we are really going to have an enjoyable battle between two champions.
