The Phl Azkals was Happy against CFIM Game Result
“Dili Kamo Nag-iisa”, the charity match dubbed by the game organizers of Philippine Azkals vs Spanish Tercera division club CF Internacional de Madrid just finished last Saturday, January 7, at the Rizal Memorial football Stadium with Filipino footballer’s aim: Help typhoon ‘Sendong’ victims in the Cagayan de Oro City and Iligan City.
Showing more solidity and improved game shape, the Azkals-Alyansa has gone its best skills. This game was really anticipated by the local viewers through coverage of AKTV, Studio 23 and ABS-CBN. It has even become the ‘game of the day’ in the Philippine football news.
During the game, the Spanish Club buried the Philippine team with 2 goals in the game’s first 45 minutes. As evident of the game, 1-3 loss to Spaniards, the Azkals will have their effort outline insofar as in advance to top conditioning and unity are concerned. Actually, the game nighs on a CFIM show.

According to the Dan Palami, the Azkals team manager, “It (CFIM game) was a good gauge for us, we saw how far we have to go for the Challenge Cup. Basic problem for us is fitness and we need more training,” on his interview after the match.
The football-cause contributed huge support to the casualties of Sendong in the affected areas in Mindanao. “I feel the match is very enjoyable, very open,” said by CFIM coach Javier Garcia Marquez in Spanish language after the game. “Most important of all, I think, everyone enjoyed the game; we enjoyed it, and hope you enjoyed it. And I believe, whatever was the objective of the game, we did enough to raise funds.”
Even though that the local team did not success to win the game, with the estimated 8,000 audiences who watched the live game in support of the charity that is raised by the match, the Azkals were happy to achieve their objective; in which, at the same time, the match also serves as their starting point to gear up for their another upcoming fight with Korean Football Club and their next major journey in Nepal as the AFC Challenge Cup.
